I see this statement as a challenge. Somehow I must beat the Lake Wobegon syndrome. Somehow we've all got to be better than average. And we have to do it quick!
If we take evolution as something that goes beyond the actual DNA codes we carry, to include also the technology advance, and increased participation, we might be able to see ourselves evolving in a timely manner that corresponds with the need for rapid large-scale response around the world.
The need for a swarm response is here. Internet connectivity and networking empathetic hearts and minds can make this kind of difference.
"Coalition of the Willing" is just such a response.
